Let me share my absolutely terrible online shopping experience, hoping it serves as a warning for others. I tried to place a contacts refill order for my son, and the process seemed fine until they charged my credit card. Then, they said they couldn't fill the order because they needed to verify his prescription. This should be done BEFORE charging customers for the order, not after! I needed to get the copy of the prescription from my son, who wasn't home at the time, so I cancelled the order, but my credit card was still charged and has not been reimbursed yet. I felt compelled to reach out to customer service because my money was gone, and I needed answers, but it was extremely difficult to reach a real person, and the process was misleading and frustrating.

Customer: "Hello, I'm calling about an order I cancelled, but my credit card was still charged. My order was for contact lenses for my son, and you charged me before verifying the prescription, which I find completely unacceptable. I cancelled it because I couldn't provide the prescription at that moment, and now I'm out the money."

CS Rep: "I understand your frustration. I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and the way the situation unfolded. I see here that the order for your son was indeed cancelled on [Date], and it appears the refund is still processing. We certainly understand the importance of prescription verification before payment."

Customer: "Still processing? It's been days! And the chat representative just told me to 'kindly check my email' and then ended the conversation before I was finished asking my questions. This whole process has been incredibly frustrating, and I just want my money back. When can I actually expect the refund to hit my account?"
