Online Shopping Nightmare: Lost Glasses, Useless Tracking & CS Fail! 😤

My recent online shopping experience has been nothing short of a nightmare, and I feel compelled to share my story as a warning to others. I ordered my glasses on June 8th, and though I received an email on June 12th stating they shipped, the provided tracking information has been utterly useless. When I click the link, it frustratingly brings me to an invalid shipping detail located in Correos, Chile. I even paid expediting shipping fees, but at this point, I don't even know where my glasses are. I paid $218 to not know where my package is. This terrible situation led me to contact customer service, hoping for some answers, but that only compounded my frustration.

Customer: Hello? I'm calling about order number 12345. I paid for expedited shipping on June 8th, and your tracking link is sending me to an invalid site in Chile. I have no idea where my $218 glasses are. CS Rep: I apologize for the trouble you're experiencing with your order, sir/ma'am. Let me pull up your order details with that number. I understand this is very frustrating, especially after paying for expedited shipping. Customer: Frustrating is an understatement. I just want to know where my package is and why the tracking isn't working. I've tried calling before, but it's just prompts, and calls kept cutting out. CS Rep: I see your order details here. It appears there might be an issue with the third-party logistics provider's tracking system. I will escalate this to our shipping department immediately to investigate the exact location of your package. Customer: So, what does that mean for me? Am I just supposed to wait indefinitely? I need my glasses, and I paid extra to get them quickly. CS Rep: No, not at all. I will put a trace on your package and arrange for a priority follow-up. We will contact you within 24-48 hours with a definitive update on its status and discuss options, including a re-shipment or refund if we cannot locate it promptly. I'm truly sorry for this inconvenience.

The reason I left this review on the website is to hopefully prevent others from falling into the same trap of vague tracking and difficult customer service.
